Verity Sharp hosts the latest in a monthly series of live events for BBC Radio 3 showcasing experimental music up and down the UK, with sets tonight from three collaborative duos. Sound artist and improviser Jez riley French and artist Pheobe riley Law promise an intuitive performance using objects, zithers and playback devices, and incorporating sounds of the locale. Artist, singer and composer Jayne Dent, aka Me Lost Me (I Lost My), teams up with saxophonist and improviser Martin Berger in one of two brand new collaborations; completing the bill is the duo of hang player Tariq Emam and composer Brett Gordon, featuring live electronic processing of this distinctive steel percussion instrument.
