INFO
'Last of Me' is the debut single from Hull/Birmingham roots-folk four piece. Lyrically, it explores the imminent end of a long-term relationship – the loss of love, friendship and, ultimately, identity – but, in true Musgraves style, it sits on a feel-good pop arrangement brimming with 50s and 60s pop/soul influences.
With a ‘Q The Music Track of the Day’ in the bag and a BBC 6Music Record of the Week for the infectious ‘So Sofia’, further airplay on Q Radio and huge support from the BBC Regional network, The Musgraves established themselves as ‘ones to watch’ via their critically acclaimed debut EP, ‘Lost In Familiarity’. BT adopted the band earlier in 2011 using an instrumental of their epic ballad ‘Discover Me’ as the bed for the ‘Adam and Jane’ TV wedding campaign: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ze6z9bY5790 Graham Norton was the first to champion ‘Last Of Me’ on his Radio 2 show. A rapport quickly developed between Graham and the band and he invited them to appear on The Graham Norton Show (BBC1 UK) on 3rd February. ‘Last Of Me’ has since gone on to the Radio 2 B-Playlist. With a growing reputation as an amazing live band and, a yet to be released, debut album packed with huge singles, The Musgraves are destined for big things in 2012 and ‘Last of Me’ gets them off to a fantastic start. www.themusgravesband.com www.facebook.com/TheMusgravesUK www.twitter.com/themusgraves www.myspace.com/themusgraves |
